And today, if you find the chance—make someone smile. It doesn’t take much: a compliment, a shared laugh, a helping hand. Sometimes, it’s these simple gestures that light up someone’s entire day—and in turn, fill yours with joy too.
Let today be a gentle unfolding of grace, laughter, and connection. You are part of a community that believes in lifting one another up—and that begins with one kind act at a time.
Wishing you peace, purpose, and something lovely around every corner.
See you out there in beautiful Wake,

Maximize Your Home’s Value
When listing your home for sale, small changes can make a big impact on how buyers perceive your property—and ultimately, how much they’re willing to pay. First impressions matter, and with a little effort, you can make sure your home looks its best and attracts top-dollar offers. Here are some simple yet effective ways to maximize your selling price.
1. Freshen Up with Neutral Paint Colors
A fresh coat of neutral paint can instantly brighten your home and make it feel bigger. Soft grays, warm beiges, or crisp whites appeal to more buyers and make it easier for them to picture themselves living there.
2. Boost Curb Appeal with Landscaping
First impressions matter! Trim bushes, add fresh mulch, and plant a few colorful flowers. A well-kept yard signals that the home has been maintained and is move-in ready.
3. Power Wash for a Fresh, Clean Look
Dirt and grime can make a home look older than it is. A quick power wash of your siding, driveway, and walkways can give your home a fresh, well-cared-for appearance in just a few hours.
4. Depersonalize and Declutter
Buyers need to see the space, not your personal items. Pack away family photos, collectibles, and anything too bold. Clearing out excess furniture also helps rooms feel bigger and more inviting. If it's smaller than your fist, you can pack it away!
5. Stage Your Home for Maximum Appeal
You don’t need to hire a professional to make your home look its best. Rearrange furniture for better flow, add fresh linens, and use simple decor to highlight the home’s best features. Even small touches can make a big difference.
These easy, budget-friendly updates can help your home stand out and sell for top dollar. If you're thinking about listing, let’s chat about how to get the most for your home!

What’s Happening in Wake County?
✈️ Don't Wait! Get Your REAL ID Before the Deadline
If you plan to fly domestically or visit certain federal facilities, listen up! A big travel change is coming, and you’ll want to be ready. It's time to talk about the REAL ID — what it is, why you need it, and how to get one in North Carolina before the deadline.
📅 What’s the REAL ID Deadline?
The federal enforcement date for REAL ID is May 7, 2025.
After that, you’ll need a REAL ID (or a passport) to:
Board domestic flights ✈️
Enter secure federal buildings 🏛️
Visit military bases 🪖
So if you still have a regular driver’s license or state ID, it’s time to make the switch!
💳 What Is a REAL ID?
A REAL ID is a federally approved identification card that looks like your driver’s license but has a gold star in the corner. That star means you’ve provided extra documentation to verify your identity, and your ID meets stricter federal standards.
📝 What You’ll Need to Bring
When you go to get your REAL ID in North Carolina, bring the following:
✅ One document showing your full legal name (e.g., birth certificate or passport)
✅ One document proving your Social Security number (e.g., SS card or W-2)
✅ Two documents showing your current NC address (e.g., utility bill, lease, bank statement)
✅ If your name has changed (e.g., due to marriage), bring legal name change documents
Pro tip: bring original documents — not copies!
📍Where to Get a REAL ID in North Carolina
You can get your REAL ID at any North Carolina DMV Driver License Office. Appointments are encouraged and often quicker than walk-ins.
🔎 Find a DMV office near you here:
https://www.ncdot.gov/dmv
Or call (919) 715-7000 to ask about locations and appointment availability.
💡 Extra Tips
Already have a driver’s license? You don’t have to wait until it expires — you can upgrade early for a small fee.
If you don’t fly or visit federal buildings, you don’t need a REAL ID — but it’s a good backup just in case.
You can also get a REAL ID state ID card if you don’t drive.
✨ Get It Done, Stress-Free
No one wants to get turned away at the airport! Avoid the last-minute rush and get your REAL ID ahead of time. It's easy, it’s smart, and it’ll give you peace of mind next time you pack your bags. 🧳✅
🛒 Is Costco Coming to Wake Forest? Here's What We Know
Big news could be on the horizon for Wake Forest shoppers — Costco is eyeing a new location near the intersection of US Highway 1 and Highway 98, next to Lowe’s. The proposed site would include a massive 152,000-square-foot store, a gas station, and nearly 900 parking spaces.
So far, the project has been met with enthusiasm from the community during early neighborhood meetings. While no official plans have been submitted to the Town of Wake Forest yet, developers say they’re working closely with local partners and preparing the next steps.
If all goes through, this would become the fifth Costco in the Triangle, adding to locations in Raleigh, Apex, Durham, and Garner — and bringing bulk deals much closer to northern Wake County residents.
Stay tuned for updates as the project moves forward!

This Week’s Restaurant in the Spotlight is:
🍝 A Taste of Italy in Garner: Garibaldi Trattoria Pizza & Pasta
If you’ve been searching for a cozy, authentic Italian restaurant in Garner, North Carolina, Garibaldi Trattoria Pizza & Pasta might just be your new favorite spot. Tucked away on Son-Lan Parkway, this charming eatery delivers the kind of comforting, flavorful experience that feels like a warm hug from Nonna herself.
From the moment you step inside, Garibaldi wraps you in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The décor is simple and warm, with just the right touch of rustic elegance. It's the kind of place that works just as well for a casual lunch as it does for a special dinner out.
But let’s talk about the food — because that’s where Garibaldi really shines. The menu is full of Italian classics, and everything is made with care. The Margherita pizza is a standout — thin, crispy crust, rich tomato sauce made from San Marzano tomatoes, and melted mozzarella that stretches just right. It’s fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.
Pasta dishes are equally impressive. The Lasagna is a customer favorite, layered with rich meat sauce, creamy cheese, and tender pasta. The Chicken Parmigiana arrives golden, crispy, and smothered in tangy marinara — it’s the kind of dish that makes you want to close your eyes and savor every bite.
Don’t skip the appetizers and desserts either. The French onion soup is deeply savory and cheesy, and the cannoli? Crisp shell, sweet ricotta filling — absolutely worth saving room for.
The service is friendly and attentive, and the staff genuinely seem to care that you’re enjoying yourself. It’s one of those rare places where you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit.
Garibaldi Trattoria is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday until 10 p.m. They also offer online ordering for takeout, which is perfect if you want a great meal at home.
So whether you're craving comfort food on a rainy day or planning a relaxed dinner out with friends, Garibaldi Trattoria Pizza & Pasta brings a little piece of Italy to Garner — and it does it beautifully. Bellissimo! 🇮🇹✨
